Design Industry Veteran Kimberly Fauria Launches Curated Direct-To-Consumer Online Home Décor Business

TAVÉ Home offers a refreshed, personalized subscription program to meet members’ personal style with a customized assortment of textiles and products

Kimberly Fauria, founder of direct-to-retail business KJ Designs & Importing, today announced the launch of TAVÉHome, a curated online home décor service designed to meet each customer’s distinct style.

Fauria decided to spin off the web-based component of her successful, nationally recognized retail company due to the growth of online shopping – a trend she saw emerge over the course of the last few years. According to Statista.com, global e-retail sales are predicted to nearly double by 2021. The continued demand is high and is expected to keep climbing. One recent Salesforce study maintains that three-quarters of consumers now look for new products on a monthly basis.

“Like most of us in retail, I study buying trends, and couldn’t ignore the statistics. So, I decided to build a brand that caters to direct-to-consumer on-line shopping,” says Fauria. “I want to offer the same beautiful quality home textile and decor products that I routinely see in my retail business, and curate them into a meaningful year-round membership subscription program.”

Knowing that most consumers now enjoy personalized options, Fauria wanted to ensure the collections were highly customized, so she developed a method for determining a shopper’s individual style. She does this by carefully surveying how they choose to decorate or accessorize their homes so it’s not a one-size fits all proposition. She’s confident that her decades of expertise in the design industry qualify her to expertly match an assortment of items with each member.

“I’ve discovered that most folks fall into one of three stye categories – either ‘clean and crisp,’ ‘farmhouse fresh,’ or ‘eclectic chic,’ “notes Fauria. “I have shoppers take a short quiz to determine their current home design style, and then I’m able to pair them with one of three TAVÉ subscription boxes.” Each collection comes with a total of 5 interchangeable items that can be used together, or to enhance current home decor. “The idea is to provide lots of design options that fit in nicely with what’s already on display.”

TAVÉ members receive quarterly shipments, and each collection of home interior products is valued at $250, roughly three times the actual cost for members who receive rewards benefits with their very own “suite pass.” The Fall box is Fauria’s launch assortment, and its warm hues, harvest vibes and focus on your “tablespace” will impress your guests; the Winter selection is designed to make your living space stylishly cozy; the Spring collection provides fresh color and décor to spruce up your place, and the Summerbox transforms your outdoor are a into an oasis with an assortment of alfresco essentials.

Fauria is also working on a customized home office collection for subscribers that’s mobile enough to take wherever they get down to business. For those who want to purchase additional items or one accessory at a time, she is also offering access to the new Everyday TAVÉ Collection of home décor items set to launch in November. The new business opportunity is exciting for Fauria, not just because it allows her to showcase her love of design, but because it also allows her to give back to the community. She recently joined the Board of Directors for the Friends of Dana-Farber, and has committed to donating 5% of all proceeds from TAVÉ Home to the fund that supports cancer research and care programs at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston
