Daniel J. Ossoff

Rackemann, Sawyer & Brewster attorney Daniel J. Ossoff testified before the Joint Committee on Transportation at the Massachusetts State House on January 2, 2020 in support of Senate Bill No. 2066, entitled, “An Act relative to the maintenance of private ways, bridges and common amenities in municipalities.” Ossoff, a past President of the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts (REBA), testified in his capacity as a current member of the Legislation Section of REBA and as one of the principal drafters of the current Bill.

The Bill seeks to provide a modern and equitable process for dealing with maintenance and repair issues pertaining to privately-owned infrastructure – including private ways and utilities – under shared use by multiple property owners. REBA, along with a number of other real estate organizations in Massachusetts, strongly supports passage of the Bill.

Ossoff is a director at the firm and chairs the Real Estate Practice. He is an experienced transactional lawyer handling all aspects of commercial real estate ownership, development and finance, with an emphasis on land acquisition and disposition, leasing, and title matters. Ossoff’s clients include national corporations, non-profit institutions, private developers and individual property owners.
