About Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Company

Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Company and its sister companies, Brush Hill Transportation and McGInn Bus Company is now under the ownership of Winthrop Sargent, John Cogliano and Paul Fuerst. The three businessmen purchased the company in July 2019 from the Anzuoni family of Plymouth.

The Anzuoni family purchased Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Company in 1948, two decades after P&B had converted from rail to bus transportation. Under their ownership, the company grew to provide expanded transportation service to and from Cape Cod and across the South Shore, express service to Logan Airport and the re-introduction of trolley service in Plymouth.

In the years following the purchase of P&B, the family acquired the Brush Hill Transportation Company of Boston, McGinn Bus Company of Lynn and the North Shore Bus Company of Revere. The family was honored by transportation industry publication Metro Magazine in 1987 as having the 27th largest family owned bus company in the nation. The company traces its roots to 1888, when it was first named The Plymouth & Kingston Street Railway. In 1928 the electric trolleys ceased operation and were replaced by Mack buses. Today, Plymouth & Brockton operates an extensive commuter service to Boston, including frequent trips to and from Logan Airport, as well as transportation service from Plymouth to the Cape and to Boston. Plymouth & Brockton has more than 100 employees, and a fleet of motorcoaches, transit vehicles and trolleys, with terminal facilities in Hyannis and South Station, as well as company headquarters at 8 Industrial Park Road, Plymouth, MA. Motorcoaches and trolleys are also available for charter. For additional information, please visit www.p-b.com or call 508-746-0378.
