Foley Hoag LLP represented U.S.-based OMNI Orthopaedics, Inc., a pioneer in robotic-assisted total knee replacement, in its acquisition by Corin USA Limited, an affiliate of U.K. international orthopedic company the Corin Group, which is backed by the private equity firm Permira.
Founded in 1999, OMNI designs, engineers, manufactures and distributes a wide range of proprietary hip and knee implants and provides innovative technologies for joint replacement surgery. The company’s proprietary robotic platform, OMNIBotics®, allows surgeons to conduct patient-specific total knee surgery designed to enhance patient satisfaction and reduce hospital costs. The acquisition strengthens Corin's footprint in the U.S. and will help increase the availability of OMNI's products into other geographies where Corin operates.
Foley Hoag attorneys Eric Belsley, Erica Rice, Erica Harrington, Terry Martland, Kip Cawley, Chris Natkanski and Matthew Baltay represented OMNI in the transaction.
