The restaurant scene in Boston is about to get even more exciting than it already is, says Todd C. Smith, owner of the largest restaurant Brokerage in New England.

Smith, founder of Corbett Restaurant Group, said today that two restaurants which have been closed are about to take on exciting new lives.

Corbett Restaurant Group recently sold JulepBar at 200 High Street and Broad Street Riot located at 131 Broad Street in Boston. The two restaurants had been out of commission for license-related issues. The properties have been acquired by a group of three local investors who have big plans to re-ignite the restaurants.

They will become, respectively, a high-end sports bar called Finn McCool’s with a cutting-edge menu and look. Finn McCool’s will also include a separate Lounge downstairs called The Barrel Room featuring the finest Scotch, Whiskey, Wines and Beer available. Broad Street Riot will be replaced with Bistro 131 which will have an “Italian spin.” “Bistro 131 will have a strong focus on lunch, after work and dinner crowds,” Smith said, adding, “The concepts and the people involved are first rate. We expect all three concepts to be big successes in Boston. They anticipate opening the doors in January.

Finn McCool’s, he notes, is not connected with any restaurants which bear a similar name. He said that there are restaurants with similar names around the world. “This one, however, is a stand-alone, inspired by the Celtic hero,” he said.

Smith said that the restaurant owners have several successful concepts under their belts already. “Boston will be thrilled at the final outcome here,” he said. All three concepts will have full liquor licenses and will serve great food.”
