In the wake of the devastating earthquake in Amatrice, Italy in August, Papa Razzi restaurants in Boston, Concord, Framingham, and Wellesley, as well as Papa Razzi Metro in Burlington, teamed up to raise funds for the Italian Red Cross. Thanks to the generous support of the restaurants’ loyal guests, $1,887.00 was donated to assist with relief efforts.
“We were proud to join so many other chefs around the world to support those affected by this devastating act of nature, and are humbled by the support and generosity of our guests,” said Kevin DiLibero, Culinary Arts Director.
For two weeks, Papa Razzi and Papa Razzi Metro donated $3.00 for every dish sold of a special menu item, Bucatini all’Amatriciana during lunch and dinner. A signature dish of the region of Italy hit the hardest by the earthquake, it features a rustic and hearty combination of pancetta, pepper, pecorino cheese, Pomodoro sauce, and bucatini pasta.
