Lexington-Based Semiconductor Firm Adapteva Raises $75K in 2 days, for $375K Sold of $1.6M Offering - CBL

LEXINGTON -- Adapteva Inc., a fabless semiconductor company, has raised $375,000 of a $1.58 million equity offering, according to an amended Reg D filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Two days earlier, the Lexington-based company reported that it had raised $300,000 of that amount, as part of a $1.5 million offering.
The sole principal named in the filing is President and CEO Andreas Olofsson, who founded Adapteva last year.

Bio:
Andreas Olofsson
Mr. Olofsson is a veteran chip-architect and IC designer with over a decade of experience in defining and implementing high performance digital signal processors and mixed signal SOCs. He founded Adapteva in February 2008 as a fabless semiconductor firm to develop technology for high performance embedded applications.
Before starting Adapteva, Mr. Olofsson worked between 2000 and 2008 for semiconductor firm Analog Devices, Inc. He held various positions at Analog, beginning as a Mixed Signal Test Engineer and moving up to become a VLSI Circuit Designer, VLSI Team Leader, VLSI Project Manager, and SOC Architect.
He has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and a BA degree in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania ; and an MS degree in Electrical Engineering from the same university. A keen tennis player, Mr. Olofsson was on the varsity tennis team.
