Sonian Names Tom Serani to Advisory Board

Channel Expert to Help Sonian Recruit ISP and Hosting Partners to Resell Cloud-Based Email Archive and E-Discovery Service

NEEDHAM, MA -- (November 03, 2009) - Sonian, Inc., the trusted cloud-powered universal data management company, today announced that Tom Serani, Co-founder and Vice President of Global Sales for RatePoint and the former Managing Director of Sales at GeoTrust, has joined the Sonian Advisory Board. A proven sales executive, Tom will guide Sonian as it grows both its direct and channel sales operations for the Sonian Archive Cloud-based email and e-discovery service.

At GeoTrust, Tom led the channel sales lines and was instrumental in recruiting the largest ISPs and hosting companies as resellers, as well as over 9,000 small-to mid-size hosting companies. Tom grew channel sales revenues by nearly 700 percent, accounting for nearly one-third of all GeoTrust's revenue; and served as interim Vice President of Sales, prior to the company's acquisition by VeriSign. Following the acquisition, Tom stayed on as Director of Global Accounts and managed all channel sales and strategy for the GeoTrust brand.

Before joining GeoTrust, Tom held several senior sales positions at EMC Corporation. Tom holds a B.S. in business and communications from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
