Red Bend Takes Second Place in 2009 Deloitte Technology Fast 50

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Red Bend Software, the market leader in Mobile Software Management (MSM), has taken second place in the 2009 Deloitte Brightman Almagor Zohar Technology Fast 50 competition. The competition was held in cooperation with leading business daily TheMarker.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 is a program that recognizes and profiles the fastest growing technology companies, public or private, based on fiscal year revenues and percentage growth over the previous five years. Now in its tenth year, the program recognizes companies in: Communications; Software; Semiconductors, Components and Electronics; Life Sciences; Internet; and Computer Peripherals.

"Being one of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Israel is an impressive accomplishment. We commend Red Bend for making the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 with a phenomenal 4,336% growth rate over five years," said Tal Chen, director in charge of the Deloitte Brightman Almagor Zohar Technology Fast 50 Program.

Independent market research firm Ovum recently named Red Bend the leader in firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updating with 64% market share. In addition, Red Bend provides the leading independent device management (DM) client adopted by more than 30 manufacturers of wirelessly connected devices. Red Bend has shipped its innovative MSM solutions in 565 million mobile devices across 413 device models from leading manufacturers of mobile phones, WiMAX modems and machine-to-machine (M2M) modules.

Udi Dagan, CFO & COO of Red Bend Software, said, "We are proud to once again be among the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 companies. While the global recession has slowed the sale of mobile phones by around 10% according to some analysts, we continue to see growing demand from the market for our MSM solutions. There is an increasing number of consumer devices and business machines becoming wirelessly connected, from new smartphones to netbooks to utility meter readers. Mobile operators and manufacturers worldwide trust Red Bend to manage devices and software in a unified, standards-based way across any platform on any type of device."

About Red Bend Software

Red Bend Software, the leader in Mobile Software Management (MSM), provides software solutions for managing firmware, applications and devices over the air. The company's award-winning MSM products enable device manufacturers, mobile operators and software developers to increase revenues, reduce support costs and achieve faster time to market by remotely managing their software assets on mobile devices. Red Bend's software has been deployed in more than 565 million mobile devices and adopted by eight of the top 10 handset manufacturers, including Kyocera, LG Electronics, Motorola, Sharp, Sony Ericsson and ZTE, as well as dozens of other leading companies in the mobile, M2M and WiMAX markets. Unlike device management vendors with proprietary end-to-end systems and manufacturers' internally developed solutions that are platform specific, Red Bend is the only company offering independent client software that is interoperable with any standards-based server and that works with any platform on any type of mobile device. Founded in 1999, Red Bend is a privately held, venture capital-financed company with offices in China, Israel, Japan, Korea, the U.K. and the U.S. To learn how Red Bend is bending rules and breaking boundaries with mobile software management, visit www.redbend.com.
