Sunstein Kann Murphy & Timbers LLP Announces New Trademark & Copyright Practice Group Chair and Two New Partners

Sunstein Kann Murphy & Timbers LLP ("Sunstein") is pleased to announce that it has elected a new Trademark & Copyright Practice Group Chair and two new partners.
Lisa M. Tittemore has been named Chair of the Trademark and Copyright Practice Group. Ms. Tittemore will be responsible for the firm's trademark and copyright litigation and prosecution practice. Ms. Tittemore's practice focuses on litigation and counseling involving complex intellectual property issues in the United States and internationally. Ms. Tittemore also is an active leader in local, national, and international bar associations.
Alexander J. Smolenski, Jr. and Jack C. Schecter have been elected to the partnership.
Mr. Smolenski prosecutes patents in a wide variety of electrical, computer, medical, and Internet-related technologies. These technologies have included semiconductor devices, analog and digital circuit design, digital signal processing, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), medical implants, information systems, data storage devices, computer graphic systems, and telecommunications.
Mr. Schecter is a litigator who represents clients in complex patent and other intellectual property matters in a wide variety of technical areas including telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, data encryption and mechanical devices. Mr. Schecter also litigates a wide variety of other business matters.
With 32 lawyers, Sunstein handles demanding, high-stakes patent and trademark infringement litigation as well as patent and trademark prosecution and intellectual property transactions.
