Steve McCormack, General Partner at Commonwealth Capital Ventures, will participate as a judge at the Speed Venture SummitTM, to be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nashua, New Hampshire on October 28, 2009. Hosted by the New Hampshire High Technology Council and the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center, The Speed Venture Summit is a "speed-dating-style" event for fast-growth businesses and investors in New England.
Fifty of New England's fastest-growing companies have been selected to present to a panel of the region's leading private capital investors, including McCormack. The "speed-pitching" segment of the Summit will be held from 2:00 to 5:15pm, and will be followed by a two-hour business networking session that will provide an excellent opportunity for young companies to gain information about raising investment capital.
The five top presenting companies, as ranked by the investors, will qualify to participate in a Pitch-Off, where they will deliver a one-minute pitch to an audience during the early evening networking session. The audience will select the most compelling presentation as the winner.
