CEO Marc Casper Sells Thermo Fisher Shares for $8.2 Million
CEO Marc Casper has sold Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (NYSE: TMO) shares for $8.2 million, according to an SEC filing.
Casper, who has led the Waltham-based maker of scientific instruments since 2009, sold 126,900 shares at $65 apiece. The sale came after he converted stock options, buying the shares at $43.37 apiece.
Casper made a net gain of $2.7 million. He still owns 423,785 shares worth $27.5 million, based on the stock’s closing price of $64.92 per share on Dec. 13.
Before joining Thermo Fisher in 2006, Casper, 44, was the CEO of Kendro Laboratory Products. He also sits on the board of Zimmer Holdings Inc.
With annual sales of $12 billion, Thermo Fisher has over 39,000 employees and serves more than 350,000 customers.
