BayCoast Bank today announced that James Wallace of Halifax, MA, has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

As such, he will oversee the Bank’s ongoing operations to effectively grow its operating subsidiaries while maintaining financial strength and efficiencies.

Wallace has been with BayCoast Bank since 1990, starting as the Bank’s Auditor, and subsequently as Controller. In 2004, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, and became the Bank’s Chief Financial Officer in 2006. In June of 2017, Wallace was announced as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. While his new post as Chief Operating Officer continues to broaden his responsibilities, he will continue to oversee the Merchant Program, Loan Operations, Human Resources, Training and Facilities.

Wallace is a graduate of Bentley College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
