Full-service real estate and property management firm Peabody Properties is proud to announce that two staff members and one of its managed properties have been recognized for excellence by the New England Affordable Housing Management Association (NEAHMA).
Receiving awards at the Annual Industry Awards reception, held recently in conjunction with NEAHMA’s Annual Conference & Trade Show, were Mark Dubos, Dusanka Caus and Powdermill Village.
Dubos, a Facilities Manager at Peabody Properties, was awarded CGPM of the Year. The award annually recognizes an outstanding Certified Green Property Management (CGPM) credential holder for contributions to promote green practices, as well as energy conservation and sustainability initiatives to the affordable housing community.
Caus, a Peabody Properties’ Cleaner, was awarded Maintenance Professional of the Year, an honor given annually to a NEAHMA member affordable housing professional in recognition of their contribution to the affordable housing industry. In addition, the award recognizes the difference the recipient has made in residents’ lives, the demonstrated skills needed to operate a well-run property, and the ability to work well with industry partners and residents living in the community.
Powdermill Village in Westfield, Massachusetts, was awarded a Community of Quality distinction in the Exemplary Family Development category. This award honors the achievements of affordable housing providers who make an unprecedented contribution to developing outstanding properties for families of modest means. The COQ awards recognize exceptional property management companies that demonstrate the highest possible quality of safe, affordable housing for lower-income families at specific sites.
