CloudHealth Technologies Achieves AWS Education Competency Status

11/20/17

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CloudHealth Technologies, announced today that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Education Competency status. This designation recognizes that CloudHealth Technologies has demonstrated technical proficiency and demonstrated success building solutions that support mission-critical workloads of Higher Education, K-12 Primary/Secondary, Research and Publishing customers.

Achieving the AWS Education Competency status differentiates CloudHealth Technologies as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member that has delivered proven customer success providing specialized solutions aligning with AWS architectural best practices to support the academic experience of teachers and learners and/or improve the operational needs of administrators. To receive the designation, APN partners must possess deep AWS expertise and undergo an assessment of the security, performance, and reliability of their solutions.

“CloudHealth Technologies has long partnered with education institutions to eliminate cloud challenges of complexity and scale,” said Joe Kinsella, CTO and Founder, CloudHealth Technologies. “Without sacrificing security or availability, these organizations must maintain anytime, anywhere access while quickly scaling up during peak periods. We are proud to be among the APN partners to achieve AWS Education Competency Status as a mark of our dedication to serving such a key market, and helping them leverage the agility of AWS.”

Instructure, maker of the Canvas learning management system, relies heavily on AWS in their mission to “make people smarter.” “Using CloudHealth has given value on two counts: cost and visibility,” said Jeff Julander, Senior Systems Administrator at Instructure. “The platform allows us to see where we could optimize spend, including optimizing Reserved Instance purchases so we’re never underutilized. Through various initiatives, we’ve cumulatively saved approximately 2 million dollars overall with CloudHealth Technologies.”

AWS is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Competency Program to help customers identify Consulting and Technology APN Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.
