William Epp and Matthew Bluette

William Epp, Associate Principal, and Matthew Bluette, AIA, ACHA, AICP, NCARB, LEED AP, Associate, both of JACAArchitects (www.jacaarchitects.com), one of New England’s premier healthcare-exclusive architectural firms, recently attended Becker’s Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) 24th Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, held in Chicago from October 26 through October 28.

With over 80 different learning sessions, four keynote speakers and five keynote panelists, this exclusive conference brought together surgeons, physician leaders, administrators, and ACS business and clinical leaders to discuss how to identify and manage key business, clinical and legal issues.

“We’ve worked on a number of ambulatory surgery center projects over the past few years, and with more on the horizon, this conference offers a great chance to stay up-to-date on best practices and share different perspectives based on project needs and limitations,” said Epp. “Becker’s ASC Review consistently offers quality educational opportunities, and Matt and I were glad to be able to make the most of this occasion. We look forward to sharing what we’ve learned with our colleagues and clients.”

“We encourage our staff to further their professional development whenever possible, and this conference offers a great opportunity to do so,” said Tony Cavallaro, president of JACA Architects. “Matt and Bill have already shared a considerable deal of knowledge gained from this conference with our staff – through their presence, we all benefit.”
