Direct Federal Credit Union, a federally chartered and insured credit union serving the needs of the region since 1953, announced today that their Director of Network Services, Jim Webber, has earned the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) credential.

The CISM credential is awarded by the global, independent, nonprofit association, ISACA. Successful candidates must pass a comprehensive written examination; additionally, they must have at least five years of Information Security experience as well as undertaking ongoing professional education courses to maintain the credential.

Webber serves Direct as Director of Network Services, overseeing a team of network professionals. He is a 22-year employee of Direct Federal, beginning his career in the lending department. He said, “Direct is committed to providing the top training and development in the industry, which allows employees to grow and advance their careers. This was an initiative I wanted to undertake and Direct supported me every step of the way.”
