BayCoast Bank announced Sean Bettencourt of New Bedford, Massachusetts, as Manager of the Fall River branch.

As such, Bettencourt will oversee all day-to-day operations of the branch, located on Airport Road.

Bettencourt joins BayCoast Bank with more than 12 years of experience in the banking industry, most recently as Branch Manager of the Taunton office of Mechanics Cooperative Bank. Previously, he held the post of Head Teller at that location. Bettencourt also held multiple positions with Bank of America earlier in his career.

He holds an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and Financial Management from Fisher College in Boston and has also done course work at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth.

Bettencourt is a Board member of Taunton Area Community Table (TacT), an independent, non-profit organization that relies on donations from individuals, businesses, civic organizations, churches and others to feed the hungry.
