TAUNTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Paul Spacek, President of Royal Contract Lighting, today announced the appointment of Eugene F. Tsui to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer. Previously the General Manager of LASVIT (Shanghai) Ltd., Tsui will oversee global operations with a focus on managing the company, which is experiencing a growth surge. His first undertaking will be to strengthen the core leadership team to ensure that the organizational structure, formal processes, and best practices will be maintained and enhanced as the company expands and production continues to grow.

Years of Design, Engineering, and Management Prepare Tsui for New Role

LASVIT (Shanghai) Ltd is one of the two powerhouses in the LASVIT group and is responsible for half of the company’s projects globally. As General Manager, Tsui was entrusted with P&L responsibility. He and his team implemented processes for operational excellence that enabled the unit to stay lean while growing. For several years prior, he served as Engineering Manager for the same organization, in which role he helped establish the R&D department.

Tsiu’s management experience follows stints of engineering work on behalf of LASVIT, as well as design work for a variety of clients, including Blackberry, Cathay Pacific, and Moët & Chandon. He earned a Masters of Engineering in Product Design Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
