Hooper, Lundy & Bookman Post-Acute/Long-Term Care Practice Chair Mark Reagan Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar

11/2/17

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hooper, Lundy & Bookman, PC, is pleased to announce that Partner Mark E. Reagan has been admitted to the Massachusetts Bar.

Mr. Reagan heads the firm's post-acute and long-term care practice and is currently general counsel for the Massachusetts Senior Care Association and the California Association of Health Facilities. His Massachusetts bar admission follows the recent opening of the firm's Boston Office.

"Through my work with the American Health Care Association, I have become very familiar with the issues that the Massachusetts post-acute and long-term care industry faces," said Mr. Reagan. "My support for our new office in Boston coincides with my interest in meeting the needs of Massachusetts providers."

Mr. Reagan has devoted decades of his legal practice to representing post-acute and long-term care providers, and is largely responsible for the firm's representation of most of the top post-acute and long-term care providers in the country. In addition to providing legal counsel, he is also regularly engaged in representing providers facing fraud and abuse allegations, in regulatory issues before state and federal regulators, in litigation proceedings, and in drafting and negotiating legislation on behalf of the industry. He is also a regular presenter and curriculum developer for industry programs.

Some of the key issues Mr. Reagan and the firm are currently focused on for post-acute and long-term care providers include government investigations, challenges with Medicaid reimbursement and proposed regulatory changes to facility licensure, physical plant and operational requirements.

"Each of our attorneys in the post-acute and long-term care practice is dedicated to providing the same unparalleled service to Massachusetts providers we have become known for in California and other states we serve," said Mr. Reagan. "With all of the uncertainties the industry is facing, we are taking a proactive approach to ensuring that Massachusetts providers are armed with the information and representation they need to make the best choices."
