South Shore Chamber of Commerce’s Human Resources Group to Host November 8th “HR Hot Topics” Seminar

The Human Resources Group of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce (www.southshorechamber.org) will host a November 8th educational seminar on “HR Hot Topics: Looking Forward to 2018” at Chamber headquarters, 1050 Hingham Street, Rockland.

The informational session will run from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. and will examine issues including the new Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, which will be in effect as of April 1, 2018; the new medical marijuana decision and its implications for the workplace; and ways to integrate social media into a business.

The session will also include an update on the new Pay Equity Law and if time permits will address questions concerning dress codes, body piercings and tattoos.

All managers, directors and HR professionals are invited to attend.

Admission is $25 for Chamber members, affiliates and the general public.
