Patrick T. Clendenen, a shareholder at Boston law firm Davis, Malm & D’Agostine, P.C., has been named Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Business Law Section, as well as editor in chief of Volume 73 of The Business Lawyer, the Section’s highly regarded law review.

As Vice Chair of the ABA Business Law Section, Mr. Clendenen helps to provide practical resources for the growth and support of those in the legal profession. As editor in chief of The Business Lawyer, Mr. Clendenen leads its 25 member editorial board, which is responsible for developing the content of Volume 73, issued quarterly, by reviewing, selecting, and editing articles that are of interest to business lawyers and other members of the Business Law Section.

Mr. Clendenen practices in the Business Law and Litigation areas at Davis Malm. He is a trial lawyer with significant experience in sophisticated business and fiduciary disputes, including contracts, consumer financial services, products liability, business torts, class action suits, derivative actions, and securities matters. He also focuses on intellectual property litigation, including Internet, patents, trade dress, and trade secret matters. Mr. Clendenen has represented a wide range of public and private businesses and corporate clients nationally in both state and federal courts. He also represents business and corporate clients in international cross-border disputes, both in litigation and alternative dispute resolution.

The mission of the ABA Business Law Section is to serve its members, the profession, and the public by providing educational resources to its members, assisting members in serving their clients ethically and competently, and furthering the development and improvement of business law. The Business Lawyer, now in its 73rd year of continuous publication, is the peer-reviewed scholarly law review and premier publication of the ABA Business Law Section. Published quarterly, it educates approximately 40,000 readers with articles of significant interest to the business lawyer, including case law analysis and developing trends.
