Previously he held the position of Vice President.

In this position, Athanasiou is responsible for recruiting, leading, coaching and retaining a sales force and operations staff, as well as meeting monthly and quarterly goals. Additionally, he is responsible for creating scalable models for work flow and process to improve production and efficiency.

Athanasiou, who joined BayCoast Mortgage in 2013, has more than 18 years of experience in the mortgage lending industry.

A graduate of Nichols College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Athanasiou is a member of the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association.
