Plimoth Investment Advisors, a portfolio management firm that specializes in investment management, trust services, retirement plans, and estate administration for both private and institutional clients, has promoted Joseph R. King of Pawtucket, R.I., to the position of Senior Vice President/Trust Counsel. King previously served as First Vice President/Trust Counsel.

In this new role, King will be responsible for overseeing the fiduciary practice, risk management and account administration functions of Plimoth Investment Advisors while leading a team of trust professionals that provide wealth management services to clients. Prior to joining Plimoth Investment Advisors, King worked for BMO Financial Group (Bank of Montreal) as Vice President and Director of Trusts and Estates. He has also previously worked for TD Wealth and Rockland Trust.

King, who is a member of both the Arizona Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association, also completed the Trust Program at the New England School of Banking. King earned his J.D. from Tulane University Law School and his B.S. in psychology from Fordham University.
