Boston law firm Sherin and Lodgen LLP announces that Carla M. Moynihan has been named to the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly 2017 list of "Top Women of Law." This annual award is given to an elite group of women lawyers who have made important contributions to the legal community through outstanding leadership, vision, passion, and advocacy. Moynihan will be honored at a reception on November 2, 2017 in Boston.
A partner in Sherin and Lodgen’s Real Estate Department, Moynihan was selected for her notable projects in the City of Boston and beyond, as well as for her community service. Her practice focuses on the disposition, acquisition, leasing, development, and financing of commercial real estate. For over 20 years, she has represented institutions, developers, retailers, individual investors, hospitals, medical professionals, hotels, state agencies, municipalities, and lenders in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including negotiating and drafting letters of intent; term sheets for financing; purchase and sale agreements; land disposition agreements; development agreements; building and ground/air rights leases for multi-family, hotel, retail, office or industrial landlords or tenants; and CMBS/CRE loan documents.
Committed to the advancement and success of women attorneys and professionals, Moynihan serves as chair of Sherin and Lodgen’s Women’s Initiative. In this role, she oversees the development and execution of in-house training programs, roundtable discussions and one-on-one mentoring sessions and partnerships with community organizations. She also gives back to the local community in diverse ways through pro bono work, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and volunteering.
