Ipswitch’s iMacros Now Available with Redesigned UI and Macros Editor, Security Enhancements and Faster, More Reliable Image Validation

Ipswitch®, the leader in easy to deploy, manage and use file transfer and network management software, has released an updated version of iMacros, the world’s most popular web automation, data extraction and web testing software. Now available, iMacros v12 includes a redesigned user interface and macros editor, security enhancements and faster, more reliable image validation, among other enhancements.

“The Ipswitch iMacros team is dedicated to designing and developing quality products that simplify web management tasks, provide real-business value and provide their customers with more time each day,” said Rich Welch, Executive Vice President Customer Satisfaction at Ipswitch. “This new version of iMacros web automation software works with every website to make it even easier to record and replay repetitious work.”

Enhancements to iMacros Editor 12 include custom syntax highlighting which can be exchanged between installations, besides an optimized layout. The new UI has been revamped for easier navigation and a more user-friendly experience including docking of the recording options window for access during recording, custom naming and an appending of new recordings. Image validation algorithms are faster and more reliable using more efficient memory allocation. Enhanced security with FIPS compliant, AES-256 encryption is now available.

“At the Independent Evaluation Unit of the World Bank, we are using iMacros Enterprise Edition to automate information quality audits of institutional sites and also to streamline our information gathering and research tasks without taxing corporate IT resources,” said Alex McKenzie, Senior Information Officer at the World Bank. “iMacros’ smooth integration with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access allows a quick implementation and great flexibility.”

Users can automate tasks across Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome as well as automate testing across Java, Flash, Flex or Silverlight and AJAX elements. iMacros also does all web data harvesting needed, quickly and without having to learn a new scripting language.
