Dr. Alicia H. McAuliffe-Fogarty Named VP of Patient Research for T1D Exchange

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alicia H. McAuliffe-Fogarty, PhD, CPsychol has been named vice president of patient-centered research for T1D Exchange, a Boston-based nonprofit organization uniting those affected by disease with those dedicated to accelerating better care and improved treatments. Dr. McAuliffe-Fogarty will drive research programs designed to understand the needs of people affected by type 1 diabetes, including burden of managing the disease and impact to health outcomes.

This addition to the organization’s leadership team comes as T1D Exchange is making a real and measurable difference in driving better, faster research to improve care and speed development of new therapies for people and families living with type 1 diabetes.

In her role Dr. McAuliffe-Fogarty will oversee patient-centered research priorities, strategy and operations for research studies and patient insight programs designed to accelerate new product development, improve clinical care, and increase access to treatments and devices.

Prior to her role at T1D Exchange, Dr. McAuliffe-Fogarty served as the vice president of lifestyle management at the American Diabetes Association (ADA) where she provided clinical expertise, strategy and support for projects, programs, grants, sponsors, interviews and presentations.

Dr. McAuliffe-Fogarty also served as the head of behavioral science at Human Care Systems, Inc. where she conducted research for pharmaceutical and device companies, bringing therapies to market and creating multi-channel support and education programs for patients and healthcare practitioners.
