PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--George Keith, Complex Manager of Janney Montgomery Scott’s Connecticut branch offices, was recently honored as Branch Manager of the Year. Janney’s Jerry F. Lombard, President, Private Client Group, presented Keith with this top honor, which is awarded to a Branch Manager who exhibits unsurpassed expertise in the field, a dedication to superior service, outstanding leadership, and resourceful integration of resources, both in the office and in the community.
Keith, who is a CPA, joined Janney in 2012 and has been making an impact ever since. He said, “I wanted to align myself with a firm that I could be proud of and support. Janney has a great history and a successful story, but compared to our competitors – it’s remarkable.”
Keith is one of Janney’s most successful managers in recruiting, welcoming 23 Financial Advisors to his six offices. Since 2013, Keith has recruited Financial Advisors entrusted with oversight of more than $3 billion in client assets. He currently supervises 50 Financial Advisors in the Darien, Fairfield, Glastonbury, Mystic, New Haven, and West Hartford, Connecticut offices.

Prior to joining Janney, Keith had a successful career in the financial services industry with firms such as Fidelity, Alliance Bernstein, ScudderKemper, Dreman Value, and PaineWebber. George’s first job, after graduating Cum Laude from the University at Albany, was at Touche Ross as a CPA and Management Consultant.
In addition to receiving Janney’s Branch Manager of the Year, Keith has also been named as one of the Top 100 Branch Managers by On Wall Street in 2016 and 2017.
