Giving Time, Talent and Resources Highlights Firm’s Commitment to Boston Community

Intellectual property law firm Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks, P.C. today announced the conclusion of an annual campaign of fundraising and volunteerism, focused on supporting local non-profits and community groups serving the Boston area. This campaign illustrates Wolf Greenfield’s dedication to charitable giving in many forms, including to support the Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) Associates Fund Drive.

Wolf Greenfield raised $67,000 to support the work of GBLS on behalf of domestic violence survivors. The drive benefits the GBLS Family Law Unit, which offers free legal services to help families overcome difficult circumstances, to move on with their lives and to become self-sufficient. Led by associates Eric Rutt and Stuart Duncan Smith, every Boston-based associate, counsel and technology specialist at the firm contributed, with the firm’s shareholder group providing matching funds. For the fifth year in a row, Wolf Greenfield raised more than any of the nearly 50 other participating law firms, earning it the GBLS Jack Ward Cup.

In addition, more than 80 of the firm’s employees participated in an annual “Good Deeds Month” by volunteering for Cradles to Crayons and Habitat for Humanity, and about 50 employees participated in the Lawyers Have Heart 5k run on May 31, an event that benefits the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.

“Community engagement is one of our core values,” said Mike Rader, chair of the firm’s Charitable Committee. “We are proud of the volunteer work of our attorneys and technology specialists and their charitable giving to support pro bono legal organizations like GBLS, so that everyone in our community can enjoy legal representation when needed.”
