CENTURY 21 Commonwealth Completes Expansion, Renovation of Lexington Office

7/31/17

CENTURY 21 Commonwealth (http://commonmoves.com), a leading resource for home buyers and sellers throughout Eastern Massachusetts, has recently completed an extensive expansion and renovation of its Lexington, MA office, one of its 21 locations throughout the region.

Kurt Meehan, Sales Manager of the Lexington office located at 9 Meriam Street, said that the company invested significant time and resources into the expansion. CENTURY 21 Commonwealth views Lexington as a key area for the company’s growth and recognizes that the Lexington area has a strong real estate market. Meehan and a large team of Sales Associates joined the Commonwealth team a little over a year ago.

The office has doubled its size, adding two adjacent condominium units within the current location in the Adams Building. The company retained the services of a decorator and designer, and the office has an upscale, updated overall look and feel. “Our plan was to create a first-rate setting – a beautiful area where our Sales Associates can work and can bring their clients, and an inviting setting as we continue to recruit new Sales Associates,” said Meehan. In addition to the finishing touches of a fireplace mantle and new furnishings, the updated office suite has several spacious conference room facilities. “The finished product exceeded our expectations,” said Meehan.

The building that CENTURY 21 Commonwealth calls home has a long and proud history of real estate in the community. Lester Savage, whose parents started their agency in the early 1960s under the name Lester Savage Real Estate, has been a key part of the CENTURY 21 Commonwealth family for the last year and a half. He recalls, “In 1963, when this building was being built, the Lexington Minuteman (newspaper) owned it. My father went to the owner to find out if there was any available space in the building. The owner, Bob Adams, said that he would make space for him at the front of the building, and that was how is started. Lester’s parents, Lester and Nancy, were the first generation of the Lester Savage Real Estate business.

In the early 1990s, Les Savage took the reins and together with colleague David Williams, continued to build the practice. In 2015 they merged the practice into the CENTURY 21 Commonwealth family. Savage said “The renovations are fabulous,” adding, “CENTURY 21 Commonwealth has invested a lot in our community and our office.” He continued, “The industry is very different than when I first started. Technology has been an amazing help. It allows us to communicate and provide information in more convenient ways, and more efficiently, with our buyers and sellers.”

Meehan and a large group of agents came over a little over a year ago to join the Lexington team of Les Savage, David Williams and Mindy Widfeldt.

Kurt Meehan agrees wholeheartedly. “We were happy to join Lester and his team and now we have an expanded office to showcase our combined efforts and new team.”

Meehan confirmed, “This is first-class, state-of-the-art space. We are very excited to be in the center of town with a view of the Minuteman Statue. We have the best of both worlds – an office setting with a nearby retail component, easy access to a public parking lot, the Minuteman Bikeway and local restaurants.”

Founding Partner George Patsio is thrilled with the newly updated office space. “Our goal was to create a forward-thinking office space for our Sales Associates and clients. This new office space supports our company’s growth strategy, while providing a welcoming space for clients and Sales Associates. CENTURY 21 Commonwealth is committed to continuing to build on our success and providing advanced tools and technology for our Sales Associates and this updated office space showcases these efforts.”
