Hooker & Holcombe is pleased to announce that John Fuller, vice president, director of operations for the firm's investment advisory group, was elected president of the CFA Society Hartford at the group's annual meeting on June 15th. John has been a CFA Society Hartford member since 2006 and a board member for the past four years. In his new role as president, John will lead the Board which oversees operations and programs of the approximately 700 member Society. He will also act as the Society's primary liaison to the CFA Institute.

The CFA Society Hartford was founded in 1952 as the local presence of the CFA Institute, a worldwide investment professional organization of over 150,000 members based in Virginia, which sponsors the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. John joined Hooker & Holcombe in 1989 and is currently responsible for client accounting and reporting, investment technology and investment research. He also serves as the firm's chief compliance officer and is a member of the Investment Committee. In addition to his CFA designation, John is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF). His extensive experience covers a wide range of retirement related issues and his expertise includes financial accounting standards, cost accounting standards and asset liability modeling.
