The Providence Business News and Best Companies Group have named CBIZ as a 2017 Best Places to Work in Rhode Island for the fifth consecutive year. In addition, CBIZ was ranked #2 in the medium employer category. The annual awards recognize companies based on workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, as well as employee responses to a survey that measures employee experience.
CBIZ is one of 60 organizations named overall and placed second out of 25 in the medium-sized employer category (50 – 149 employees) at the awards ceremony and dinner held at the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick on June 21, 2017.

The honorees, which range from enterprise (500 or more employees) to large (150 to 499 employees), medium (50 to 149 employees) and small companies with as few as 15 employees, were judged on their responses to both an extensive management questionnaire regarding employer benefits and policies, as well as a 78-question employee engagement and satisfaction survey. The combined scores determined the top companies and rankings. The results were analyzed and compiled by Best Companies Group, an independent research organization based in Harrisburg, PA, who determined the final winners.
