Conn. Physician Assistant Foundation Gets Donation from GoodWorks Insurance

The Connecticut Physician Assistant Foundation recently received a $2,000 donation from GoodWorks Insurance.

“We thank GoodWorks Insurance for helping assure the future of healthcare in Connecticut,” said Mark Schumann, executive director of the Connecticut Academy of Physician Assistants.

The foundation provides scholarships to students who are enrolled in a Connecticut physician assistant program and state residents attending out-of-state physician assistant programs.

Headquartered in Glastonbury, GoodWorks Insurance is an independent insurance agency that donates half of its operating profits to local nonprofits that support education, healthcare, and public safety.

GoodWorks Insurance also donates to the foundation 20 percent of its commissions on business and personal insurance policies Connecticut APA members buy from it.

“It’s is a win-win that benefits our members and our foundation,” Schumann said.
