Florence Bank has named Victoria Baldyga of Palmer, Massachusetts as its Community Support Award winner for 2017.

Baldyga, Assistant Manager of the King Street office, joined Florence Bank in 2011.

The Community Support Award was established by the Bank in 1997, as a means of formally recognizing employees who are active participants in community events and who donate their personal and professional time to local not-for-profit organizations.

Each year, the award recipient has the opportunity to select a not-for-profit organization of his/her choice, following which the Bank makes a donation to that organization. At Baldyga’s recommendation, Florence Bank will make a donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County.

Baldyga, who is currently working toward her Financial Services Management diploma, is a member of the Board of Directors of Big Brother Big Sister of Hampshire County. She is actively involved with the American Red Cross, the National Marrow Donor/Registry Foundation, and Give and Take clothing outreach program. She is also a committee member for the Western Massachusetts Safe Deposit Group.
