WINCHESTER, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Schools for Children, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and managing great schools and educational services, announced today that it has named Dr. Paul Stein as executive director. Dr. Stein will succeed Dr. Ted Wilson, who has served as Schools for Children’s president and executive director for the past 30 years.

We are clearly growing and changing -- welcoming new leaders, moving programs to new homes, and expanding and enriching the education and services we offer to students and their families. We welcome Paul’s fresh insights and experienced guidance as we move ahead to the future,” said Peter Prodromou, chairman, Board of Trustees for Schools for Children.

Dr. Stein joins Schools for Children from the Wayland Public Schools, where he served as superintendent for six years. His career includes numerous roles in administration, teaching, and special education services. Prior to his work in Wayland, Paul served as deputy superintendent of Newton Public Schools, and is the past principal of Day Middle School in Newton and past house administrator of Pollard Middle School in Needham. He began his career as a teacher in alternative, special education school settings, and served for a number of years as the Director of Full Circle High School in Somerville.
