OnProcess Technology Wins 2017 American Business Award for Executive of the Year

5/9/17

ASHLAND, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--OnProcess Technology, a global pioneer in service supply chain management and optimization, today announced that its CEO, Mike Wooden, has been named a 2017 Stevie Award Executive of the Year by American Business Awards. Wooden was honored with the bronze award in the Business and Professional Services category, for expanding OnProcess’ leadership as a managed services provider for complex, global post-sale supply chains.

The 15th annual American Business Awards garnered over 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry. Winners in a variety of categories were chosen based on scoring by a panel of more than 190 professionals from around the world.

According to the judges, “Supply chain optimization is often an unsung hero of company profitability and performance – yet it is critical to success and growth. Mr. Wooden’s vision in taking hold of this model and instituting such successful improvements is testament to his ability and vision.”

“We’re thrilled to be recognized by American Business Awards for OnProcess’ achievements in leadership and growth,” said Wooden. “During the past year, OnProcess has achieved a number of milestones that showcase the value of our innovative, analytics-based approach to supply chain services, and how it helps clients deliver superior customer experience and save millions of dollars every year.”

OnProcess’ accomplishments under Wooden’s leadership have included:

  • Growth: During the Stevie Awards evaluation period, OnProcess realized double-digit YoY revenue growth in its wireless, technology and medical businesses. To support this, Wooden directed a global expansion, including establishing an EMEA center of operations and doubling its Bulgaria workforce.
  • Advanced technology: OnProcess launched OPTvisionSM, the industry’s only real-time visibility and micro-analytics platform that uses predictive analytics, instant alerts and proactive actions to unify a fragmented post-sale supply chain, enable management by exception and deliver meaningful outcomes.
  • Outcome-based pricing model: OnProcess became an outspoken advocate of outcome-based models, believing that standard transaction-based contracts inherently pit managed service providers’ interest against their clients’. Wooden encouraged and helped some of the world’s largest brands adopt this new approach, where both parties share the risk and reward from mutually aligned interests.
  • Joint research with Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Supply Chain program: This study was the first in the industry to analyze how using machine-based Internet of Things data to predict failures can impact the cost of spare parts inventory.
