WAREHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Smithers Viscient, a global contract research organization (CRO), announced that it is appointing Rohit Harve to the role of Vice President, North American Operations. Harve comes to Smithers Viscient with more than 10 years of experience as a senior global leader and strategic innovator in the healthcare and laboratory services industries.

Most recently, Harve served at McKinsey and Company, focusing primarily in Operations and Commercial excellence for healthcare clients. This includes multi-site transformations, lean labs, service excellence, quality culture, capability building, operations strategy, business development and performance management. Prior to his time at McKinsey, Harve spent nearly 20 years in operations for pharmaceutical and medical technology industries with roles of increasing responsibility at such global healthcare leaders as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Roche Diagnostics and Pfizer, among others.

Harve received his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, India, his Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri and his Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
