The Revolution Factory’s New Innovation Campus Elevates Maynard As A Hub For Entrepreneurs

Mill & Main to host community-based innovation with coworking accelerator space

CBRE/New England today announced that The Revolution Factory is set to open its new innovation campus at Maynard’s Mill & Main in March 2017. The company will bring the first accelerator, pre-accelerator, maker space and venture lab to the Metro West’s Route 2 corridor. The Revolution Factory chose Maynard due to its walkability and the area’s demand for entrepreneurial resources and skills training. The campus will include a makerspace for designing, prototyping and small-scale manufacturing.

CBRE/NE’s Sam Crossan, Alison Powers, Bob McGuire and Rob Walles represented both the tenant and the landlord in the transaction. Mill & Main is owned by a joint venture between Saracen Properties and Artemis Real Estate Partners, who have completed 350,000 SF of leasing since acquiring the project in the summer of 2015.

Research, cited in Duane and Fisher’s bestseller, shows that by 2020 one in six people will be an entrepreneur due to the paradigm shifts occurring within the changing landscape of how we work. To support this movement, The Revolution Factory was recently awarded $25,000 by MassDevelopment as part of a funding round focused on community-based innovation and entrepreneurship.
