VERC Enterprises is doing its part to help the Suffolk fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon raise funds to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation, with a day set aside at their two Marshfield and Norwell car washes to help the cause.

On November 12, with every car wash either at the Norwell Briteway (424 Washington Street) or the Marshfield location (535 Plain Street), VERC will donate $2 to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon campaign for Make-A-Wish. The car washes are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at each location. Members of the fraternity will be on hand at both locations with hand towels to help dry the vehicles as they exit from the car wash.

There is a family connection to this fundraising effort. Nick Vercollone, a junior at Suffolk majoring in business administration and entrepreneurship, and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, is the son of VERC Enterprises co-owner Paul Vercollone. He said that, as a student and member of the fraternity, the importance of Make-A-Wish is something that he and his fraternity brothers consider very near and dear. Their fraternity, in fact, includes a student who was a recipient of a Make-A-Wish grant some years ago. “They do so much great work to help people in need,” he said, adding, “And I am grateful to the family business for stepping up and helping out.”

The rain date will be November 19.

The Vercollone family is active in a number of community events and organizations and is also active in the car wash industry. Paul Vercollone is past president of the New England Car Wash Association.
