LOCAL BUSINESSES SUPPORTING FUNDRAISING GOAL

James Fabich, from Bridgewater, MA, a personal trainer with Fitness Together Norwell, MA, is competing in the World’s Toughest Mudder, a 24 hour obstacle course mud race in Lake Las Vegas, Nevada on November 12, 2016 to raise funds and community awareness for the region’s fight against the opiate epidemic. His goal is to beat the world record of 105 miles.

In preparation, Fabich will complete 10 Tough Mudders from July - October, 2016 throughout the Northeast. He is passionate about motivating others to do things they thought weren’t possible. Through fitness, Fabich was able to fight his own demons to get healthy and strong. Today, his passion and purpose in life is to help others overcome adversity.

Fitness Together (FT) Norwell and local businesses are supporting Fabich in raising money and awareness to battle the opiate epidemic. Between September 6th and November 4th members of the public are invited to join FT Norwell’s Train Like Jamesboot camp to benefit the Baystate Community Services Bridge Fund. Buy 1 personal training session or 2 bootcamp (small group) sessions totaling $65 and FT will donate 100% of these proceeds to the Fund. The campaign will continue with an Obstacle Course Event Fundraiser at FT Norwell on October 22. Everyone is invited to attend.

“The opiate epidemic touches all of us and James' goal for the community is to raise awareness for this problem - taking it out of the closet and into the street,” said Steve Lichtman, President of FT Norwell and Westboro. “We invite the community to attend the Obstacle Course Event Fundraiser and support James. As a community, we can raise awareness and funds to tackle this growing problem in our community.”
