Italian Home For Children to Get a Makeover from Lowe's Home Improvement

Italian Home for Children announced that they will partner with Lowe’s Home Improvement on Tuesday Aug. 9th to transform the organization’s residential dorm spaces through the national Lowe’s Heroes program.

The Quincy and Woburn Lowe’s locations, along with several other corporate partners, will provide materials to enhance the therapeutic living spaces for all children in Italian Home for Children’s residential program. Donated resources include paint, curtains, wall decals, rugs, storage, bathtubs, and more. These donations will allow Italian Home for Children to completely transform the four residential spaces at their Jamaica Plain campus.

“We are thrilled to be selected by Lowe’s as a recipient of this year’s Lowe’s Heroes program to provide a much-needed update to the living spaces at Italian Home for Children,” said Michael Papile, Italian Home for Children’s Board Chair. “Our work at Italian Home is essential to provide a therapeutic environment for the children and families that we serve to feel safe and to heal.”

Volunteers from Lowe’s,Repligen, Oracle, Gap, State Street, and Gray, Gray & Gray will be on the campus from Monday,Aug. 8 through Wednesday, Aug. 10 helping to paint, build, and decorate the spaces for the children.
