Massachusetts control systems experts take on project at 610 Main Street in Cambridge, MA

JM Electrical Company, Inc., leader in advanced automated building system installations, today announced that it has begun project operations at 610 Main Street in Cambridge, MA, a 500,000 square foot development. The company will install a complete automation and laboratory control system as well as a Critical Alarm System.

The automation system is designed to control heating, ventilating, air conditioning and airflow in the building. The advanced system reduces energy consumption in the building by optimizing ventilation, while upholding the optimal temperature for the work environment. It will be a fitting addition to the facility’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certified building. Buildings gain LEED status if they can show they save energy and water and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

“We are set to begin operations at 610 Main Street, and are proud to be part of a project for an organization that holds such high standards in terms of sustainability,” said Frank Kelly, Project Manager at JM Electrical. “When completed, the automation system will save energy and provide a better work experience for the incoming employees.”

Greg Rocci, the foreman on the project, will oversee up to four electricians on the construction and day-to-day operations to ensure that this project is completed on time and on budget. The project is scheduled to be completed by late 2016.
