Grafton “Cap” Willey

This prestigious award is given to an individual who has made significant contributions to the Society’s endeavors and is based on achievement or development of a new or revitalized program that has contributed to the RISCPA’s success. The candidate is personally selected by the RISCPA President.
Cap was recognized at the RISCPA's 2016 Annual Recognition Reception held on April 26 at the Providence Marriott Hotel. President Robert Mancini stated that “Cap has a long history of helping to make a difference in the important area of advocacy through his continued role on RISCPA’s Government Relations Committee. Additionally, given his specialty in the tax arena, he has served the Society’s Tax Committee well throughout the years.”
Cap has more than 30 years of experience as a tax accountant and consultant to privately-held business owners. Cap is an active advocate for small business issues at the state, regional, and national levels, and was twice selected as the Rhode Island Small Business Accounting Advocate of the Year and once as the New England Small Business Accounting Advocate of the Year by the National Small Business Association (NSBA). In addition, Cap has been a part of the RISCPA Nominating Committee, helping to identify and recruit meaningful talent for the Board.
