Katie Comtois and Steph Murray, co-owners of an educational venture called Zaniac, will be hosting an open house event on October 20th, 2015 at their brand new location in Woburn, Mass. Zaniac features unique S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, math) enrichment programs for students K-8. Activities are hands-on and take place in a mixed learning environment after school, over holiday breaks and throughout the summer. Students participate in classes that teach computer programming, 3D printing and game-based learning, among other things.
Parents, students, teachers and school administrators in the Winchester/Woburn area are encouraged to attend the Zaniac Open House on October 20th from 5 to 8 pm at 358 Cambridge Road, Woburn, MA 01801. At the event, they will be able to participate in complimentary fun learning activities, tour the facility and enjoy some light refreshments. The Zaniac co-owners and their instructors will be onsite to welcome guests as they arrive, answer questions and enroll new students.
“Zaniac is like school at its best—an active, inspiring place that is filled with friends and friends to be, where real math and technology learning is fun. … We are the go-to after-school activity for parents who want their children to develop a passion for exploring and innovating.” - Katie Comtois
Zaniac was founded by world-famous economist, college professor, bestselling author, white house official, and software developer Paul Zane Pilzer in 2012. It is the company’s mission to get kids worldwide engaged in math and technology, giving them the skills and motivation to create a better future -- all while making new friends and having the time of their lives. Both Ms. Comtois and Ms. Murray are ivy-league educated entrepreneurial moms of young children. They have a shared background in education and psychology, and are passionate about S.T.E.M. and learning.
Zaniac delivers a math and science experience that engages, motivates, and excites K-8 kids while making their parents proud about providing them with a real academic advantage. Students can enroll in after-school programs and camps that run for six weeks or enroll in Edison Club, an enriching after-school program designed to help kids succeed in school. Edison Club is a monthly subscription program with three membership tiers that have correspondingly increased benefits and flexible scheduling.
