BOSTON -- A fund sponsored by Boston-based Ironsides Partners LLC has reached $57.62 million.
Ironsides Partners Opportunity Fund L.P., a hedge fund, has attracted a pool of 25 investment interests. Citybizlist reported the fund's debut in November of 2010 with $6.9 million.
Robert C. Knapp and Gustavo Resendiz are named in the amended SEC filing.
Knapp, the managing director of Ironsides,was employed by Israel Englander's Millennium Partners from 1997-2007. He currently serves as a director of the Africa Opportunity Fund Limited (LSE AIM: AOF) and its investment manager, and Pacific Alliance Asia Opportunity Fund Limited (LSE AIM: PAX). He previously served as a director of the Vietnam Opportunity Fund (LSE AIM: VOF).
Founded by Knapp in 2007, Ironsides Partners LLC is an investment manager specializing in asset value investing that employs arbitrage, distressed opportunities, and special situation strategies with a focus on closed end funds, holding companies, and corporate restructurings.
