WALTHAM, Mass. -- Euclid Systems Corp. has launched a $3.5 million equity offering, raising $611,250 from 11 investors so far.

The Herndon, Va.-based maker of Emerald lenses, which serve as a non-surgical alternative to LASIK, last reported taking in $450,000 from a $6.25 million offering in 2009.

Principals named in a recent SEC filing include:

- Bruce DeWoolfson
, president
- Patrick Burns
- Eric Hellige
- George Glady, vice president
- Joann Simonsen, vice president
- Allan Kaplan

Euclid Systems Corporation is focused on eye care, in particular developing and implementing a system of advanced vision correction, examination, design, and manufacturing technologies.

These include a family of advanced GP and soft contact lenses, topographers, software, sub-micron and cutting lathes. Euclid's Emerald lenses are said to correct vision overnight by gently re-shaping the cornea.

Waltham, Mass.-based Commonwealth Financial Network received $238,000 in finder's fees expenses.
