BOSTON -- An SEC filing indicates that PerkStreet Financial has completed a $1 million equity offering of mixed securities, raising the amount from four investors.

The Boston-based online financial services company last made an offering of more than $6 million in 2009, raising $3.1 million, according to the regulatory filing at the time.

Principals named in the new filing include:

- Daniel O'Malley, CEO
- Jason Henrichs, COO
- Paul Maeder, director, from Highland Capital Partners
- Dan Rosen, director, also from Highland Capital Partners
- Rick Savard, director

Before PerkStreet, O'Malley co-founded Capital One's Payments division, where he created the decoupled debit card and launched the company's prepaid business. He has a background in quantitative analysis and a BSE in Operations Research from Princeton University.

PerkStreet offers a debit rewards card that offers up to 2 percent cash back on purchases and a checking account with no maintenance fees. It also offers access to a fee-free ATM network, customer service 24/7, and offers of up to 5 percent cash back in specific categories.

Paul Maeder
Paul serves on the Board of Directors for PerkStreet Financial, is a General Partner at Highland Capital Partners and is focused on helping to build the next generation of market leaders in the technology sector. He has more than thirty-two years of experience in information technology and more than twenty-four years in venture capital. Paul also serves on the boards of Avidyne, Bit9, BlueTarp Financial, Imprivata, Predictive Biosciences, StreamBase Systems, Vertica Systems and Village Ventures.

Paul also serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the National Venture Capital Association and is helping Princeton University with initiatives for furthering innovation in energy and the environment. He is the 2008 recipient of the Mass Technology Leadership Council Commonwealth Award, and is a member of the MIT Energy Innovation Project Advisory Board.

Dan Rosen
Dan serves on the Board of Directors for PerkStreet Financial and is a Principal at Highland Capital Partners, focusing on the mobile and financial services sectors. Dan also represents Highland on the boards of picoChip, Triad 700 and TriStar. He also is currently or has been actively involved with Highland's investments in Optasite (acquired by SBA Communications), Quattro Wireless and Zoove. In addition, Dan is a Founding Executive Committee Member in First Growth Venture Network.

Rick Savard
Rick Savard serves on the Board of Directors for PerkStreet Financial and also serves on the board of FSV payment systems and Family Financial. Previously, Rick was CEO of NetSpend Corp, one of the leading prepaid card companies in the US. Before Netspend, Rick worked at Federated Department Stores as Senior Vice President of Marketing Services for the financial services division (FACS) where he launched the company's first cobranded Visa card and their Gift Card program.
